Programs & Lessons

Using the most advanced 3D equipment in a wireless outdoor environment, this two-hour evaluation focuses on your swing and how your body moves. Better than video analysis, this personalized 3D motion study provides quantifiable data about the angles, speeds and velocities of your golf swing. Glenn Deck evaluates the 3D data to better understand and improve your swing.

$400 per student per session; advance booking required.

Total Golf Game Evaluation focuses on you, your body and your entire golf game. Glenn Deck, recently ranked in Golf Tips Magazine as “Top 25 Teachers in America” and Golf Magazine’s Alumni “Top 100 Teachers in America,” does a full analysis of you & your golfing skills, then provides a custom solution for you based on your strengths and weaknesses. These can be set up on any non-golf school date and last 3.5 hours in length.

$750 per person; advance booking required.

Personal instruction can be provided for you or a guest. Each personal lesson is tailored to your specific golf needs.

Rates

  • Lesson for one or two adults: $200 for 50 minutes
  • Junior lesson for one: $150 for 50 minutes
  • Junior lesson for two: $200 for 50 minutes
  • Playing Lesson: $675 for 2.5 hours
  • My Swing 3D Evaluation: $400 for 2 hours
  • Genetic Golf Evaluation $400 for 2 hours
  • Total Golf Game Evaluation: $750 for 3.5 hours

Meet The Instructors

Glenn Deck is Golf Tips Magazine’s alumni “Top 25 Teachers in America”, Golf Magazine’s Alumni “Top 100 Teachers in America”, Golf Digest Top Teachers in California, PGA Section Teacher of the Year, and California Golf Teacher Hall of Fame.

He is the founder of Genetic Golf, TPI certified, and a contributing instructor for some of the industry’s top publications. Glenn works with you, your body structure and your natural motion to find the best way for you to improve your individual golf game. He utilizes video analysis along with feel and verbal communication to ensure we find the best way for you to improve your golf game.

Tim Mitchell is a 20-year professional, TPI Level 2 Golf Instructor and has served as the Director of Instruction at multiple Leadbetter Academies throughout North America. Recognized as a Golf Digest Best Teacher in Your State, Tim is a firm believer that students should not seek to have a perfect golf swing. Instead, Tim encourages students to search for a game that allows them to control the golf ball – and better scores will follow.

Utilizing many of the game’s most respected and state-of-the-art teaching devices (including Trackman, BodiTrak and SAM PuttLab) to accurately measure his students’ technique, Tim develops a simple game plan to improve his students’ abilities to execute better golf shots. Tim has been privileged to work with many talented golfers, helping produce a Junior Ryder Cup Participant, a Two Time Junior National Amateur Champion, three Division I All American collegiate golfers and a two-time winner on the European Tour.

Hae-Yoon Jung-Kim is a PGA Certified Professional at The Resort at Pelican Hill® Golf Club. Born and raised in Korea, she started playing golf at age of 9. At the age of 15, she attended high school in Australia for three years to learn English and play competitive golf. Upon graduating high school, she played collegiate golf at University of California, Irvine. After her success in college tournaments, she played on the Future Tour (Symetra Tour) for two years, ultimately deciding to change her career as a golf coach.

In 2009, Hae-Yoon became a PGA class A  member and got certified in teaching by Glenn Deck while she was an assistant golf professional at Pelican Hill® Golf Club.

Hae-Yoon is fluent in both English and Korean and has developed a strong connection with Korean golf community in Orange County. Her travels around the world and working in many different golf courses has taught her to handle many different situations, and she looks forward to sharing her experiences and knowledge with golfers at all levels.

 

Justin Smith is a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Instructor and a Class A PGA Member. He excels at finding the most efficient way for each client to swing the golf club however unique the situation is. Justin’s passion to teach is rooted from the joy and excitement his students get from surpassing their goals and producing consistently solid golf shots. When not at Pelican Hill®, he can be found with his family and friends at the beach or walking down main street at the happiest place on earth with his soon-to-be wife. 

Karen Tucker is an award-winning PGA Golf Instructor that has been teaching for over 20 years. She was elected as a PGA Member in 1997 and LPGA Member later in 2014. Her most recent accolades include the 2020 PGA Player Development Award for the Southern California Section, recognizing exemplary achievements in player development and growing the game. Her past awards include 2010 Club Fitter of the Year, Southern California, Metropolitan Chapter and 2009 Club Fitter of the Year for the entire Southern California Section. 

Also known for individual, semi-private and group instruction, she has been an instrumental part of the Pelican Hill®’s weekly and monthly clinics, private group events and corporate events. She expresses a true enjoyment for teaching all levels of golfers from tournament players to beginners.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business-Marketing-Professional Golf Management from Ferris State University.

Jim Peterson is an Independent PGA Teaching Professional and has been with Pelican Hill® and Oak Creek Golf Clubs for the last twenty years. He is not only a knowledgeable and experienced instructor for individuals of all levels, but also thrives with group clinics and junior programs.

“I strive to provide the very best instruction possible to golfers of all ages and abilities,” Jim explains. “My teaching philosophy is to keep it simple and fun and my goal is to provide clear and concise information, so that golfers improve and learn how to play the game”. An Orange County local himself, Jim is a graduate of Edison High School in Huntington Beach and Long Beach State University. He was a golf team letterman at both schools and is a member of the PGA.
