Join us as we toast the Golden Hour with musical artistry and a complimentary 30-minute Aperitivo that will feature seasonal bites, spritzes, and wines. Experience the artistry of international soprano Deanna Breiwick and pianist Cheryl Lin Fielding as they perform an exclusive preview of musical selections from “Paysage Voilés”, a plein air-inspired program premiering Saturday, August 12th at the Laguna Art Museum in the relaxed elegance of the Great Room.

Time: 4:30 – 5:00 pm. Aperitivo
         5:00 – 5:45 p.m. Performance

Deanna Breiwick, soprano

In recent seasons, American soprano Deanna Breiwick made her debut at San Francisco Opera, performing Sister Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites, and returned to the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich for Adele in Die Fledermaus, the Atlanta Opera as Cunegonde in Candide and with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Oriana in Amadigi. Previously at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Ms. Breiwick performed Nannetta in Falstaff, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, and the Italian Singer in Capriccio. She returned to the Metropolitan Opera as Najade in Ariadne auf Naxos, reprised Drusilla in L’incoronazione di Poppea with Opernhaus Zürich, and Seattle Opera as Amore in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice. A native of Seattle, Deanna Breiwick is a Metropolitan Opera National Council Grand Finalist, a Grand Prize Winner of the Sullivan Foundation Vocal Competition, and a First Prize Winner of the Gerda Lissner Foundation International Vocal Competition.

 

Cheryl Lin Fielding, pianist

“Warm, grand, and rich”, Cheryl Lin Fielding’s pianism has taken her to some of the finest stages in the world. A sought-after recital partner and vocal coach, Fielding has been honored with the Grace B. Jackson Prize in Excellence by the Tanglewood Music Festival, recognized by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, and received the distinguished Gwendolyn Koldofsky Award in Keyboard Collaborative Arts. Cheryl’s musical training includes three degrees from the Juilliard School in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano, as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Keyboard Collaborative Arts from the University of Southern California with extended emphasis on vocal performance.
